Contest: Win Kathmandu Gear with a #travel Story

Meant to mention this earlier but forgot about it: The good folk over at that NOMADasaurus travel blog we were quite impressed with are running a story (snippet, really, max 150 words) contest with some worthwhile prizes:

Share Your Best Travel Story And Win Awesome Gear From Kathmandu

Today we want you to share your best travel story with us! We’ll be putting together a collaborative article to be published here on our site, featuring your absolute best anecdotes.

Not only do we want to feature your travel stories, but our good friends at Kathmandu have also decided to join the party and have kindly offered to giveaway some awesome gear to the 3 people with the best yarn!

That’s right, by sharing with us your favourite story you will not only have a chance to have it published on our site, but you could also win some sweet kit.

Our goal is to make this article as fun, interesting, hilarious and inspiring as possible. Hope that you can take part in it!

This caught our eye in particular because we hadn’t heard of Kathmandu gear before and we like to think we’re on top of technically oriented outdoorsy brands; from what we can tell looks like they’re basically the New Zealand equivalent of MEC in Canada where we do all but the most ridiculously esoteric outdoor shopping.

And in particular, this Bealey Men’s GORE-TEX® Jacket which is apparently the first prize looks exactly the kind of uber-functional wilderness wear we gravitate to:

So we were getting all excited about pulling 150 words out for this contest, and then we saw…

Note – The prizes are only available to people living in Australia and New Zealand at this point, but if you would still like to submit a story for the article please send it through!

Aaaaand that’s why we promptly forgot about this until just now, when the deadline is the 25th. So if you live out that way, or just want to see your funny story on a way popular blog, hop on that!
