Woo-woo-woo-hoo! The #travel1k rankings are out for the week of May 2nd and for no apparent reason we can tell, they suddenly started counting our tweets and posts again this week, which rockets us from #287 to … to … to #26! Now that’s a much more exciting number, don’t you think?
It’s is our firm belief that travel is the perfect therapy for a midlife or any crisis no matter what your age.
We’re about encouraging people to live their dreams, daring to try what they always wanted to do, go where they have never been and experience all that the world has to offer.
Through food, travel and adventure we take them along for the ride, in the air, on the road or at sea.
Whether it’s something as extreme as skydiving or as simple as learning to cook your favorite meal, the Midlife Road Trip cast and crew are committed to making the most of life (YOLO: You Only Live Once) in a fun and entertaining way.
Our co-hosts, Rick Griffin and Sandi McKenna met through mutual friends on Twitter where a simple conversation launched the adventure of a lifetime…
As that description implies, it’s a mashup of cooking, lifestyle, and travelling to fairly conventional and mostly USA locations … although with a distinctly unconventional dash of humour:
The Galapagos Islands are inhabited by an array of uninhibited exotic wildlife. Thanks to International Expeditions, I was able to embark on a Bucket List adventure of a lifetime to explore the islands and shoot this uncensored sex video of blue footed boobies propagating their species. I know, the picture above is censored, but the video below is not. After the explicit content warning, the uncensored action gets hot in a hurry as a solo booby’s seductive dance garners the attention and ultimate affection of an anxious booby. Feathers fly and fireworks follow!
p dir=”ltr”>We were there a few years back and have some blue footed booby pictures yes, but no we missed out on getting a sex video. So that’s the trick to building traffic, is it?
Technically, BuiltWith tells us it’s the standard WordPress + Jetpack setup, and as always we recommend Dreampress as your best choice for that, free Jetpack Professional and all; mostly basic plugins but a quite wide set of affiliate and advertising plugins.
So if you’re a light lifestyle reader with USA-centric travel plans, this looks like a good blog to check out! For us, didn’t see at first glance any destinations here that we haven’t been to, so it’s not one that we’re going to follow that regularly — although we’ll stop by every so often to check out the humour, must admit we chuckled over that booby post more than any we can recall recently!
