Seems like Morocco’s a popular destination for contests these days — just a little while back we had that photography trip, and today we have another trip out that way for you to win from KE Adventure Travel:
Answer one simple question to be in with the chance of packing your bags and jetting off to trek in a land of unforgettable beauty. This holiday is a very special trekking trip to the magnificent Sahara, home to snaking wadis, dramatic plateaus, tamarisk bushes, acacia trees, hidden villages and beautiful sweeping dunes. The Sahara Desert offers that rare off the beaten track adventure.
You could experience the unique culture of Morocco’s capital city Marrakech before heading off into the High Atlas mountains via the Tichka Pass to the edge of the Sahara Desert. You’ll stay overnight in traditional Berber camps and walk on remote trails, deep into the heart of the desert. Immersed in a rich variety of colourful landscapes from dramatic wadis to magnificent dunes, at night you’ll sleep under star-filled Saharan skies, whilst each morning you’ll wake to rich red Saharan sunrises. This trip is supported by camels so you only need to carry your daypack. You’ll also visit the holy shrine of Sidi Naji, walk through tamerisk and acacia trees before returning to Marrakech where you’ll have time to explore the remarkable Djemaa-el-Fna and the labyrinth of souks…
There’s a skill testing question to answer,
p dir=”ltr”>On day 5 of the Edge of the Sahara holiday, you trek through tamerisk trees. How tall can they grow in the desert environment?
but as it’s answered in the itinerary, it won’t give you any trouble; head over there and give it a try!
